Plants & Products

Perennials by definition are herbaceous plants that have the ability to return into the garden for three or more years. Although bulbs fit this description any bulb varieties we carry are not listed here. On occaision we will offer biennial plant varieties. A biennial is a plant that lives for two years, the first year this plant appears in leaf only, the second year with flower. Optimally biennials will self-seed into the garden and be present for more than two years.

Perennial plants have been assessed for their cold and heat tolerances and are listed with a numerical evaluation of their optimum growing conditions. Refer to the USDA Zone Hardiness map to choose a plant that is best for your area. Perennial plants have also been evaluated for the best growing conditions and exposure. Consider these needs as compared to your garden environment for your best success.

Our plant lists are based upon items we have on order for the year. Due to circumstances beyond our control, some items may not be available. On the other hand, just because it’s not on the list doesn’t mean we don’t have it! Our inventory changes throughout the season, so please call us to be sure we have what you are looking for.
